Dr. Malo called me on April 18th and said he had "fabulous news! You are indeed pregnant!" My hcg level (which needs to be over 20 to get a positive result with a home pregnancy test) was 193. My progesterone and estrogen numbers were equally good, so I got to go off all the drugs. No more shots. No more patches. No more suppositories. Just me and baby.
Two days ago my hcg was up to 841 and all my hormone levels were continuing to climb despite the lack of help from Freedom Pharmaceutical, so positive things continue.
So far the only symptoms of pregnancy I'm noticing are 1) overwhelming fatigue and desire to sleep, and 2) I can smell just about anything within a half mile radius, good and bad. Strangely, also, my normally detached, aloof cats seem to be filled with a sudden desire to sit on me... all of the time!
Thanks to all of you who have been there for me this past year. I feel incredibly lucky to have so many supportive friends and family, and I'm so excited to finally get to share the fun part of this journey with all of you.
