In 2011 I needed five posts to get all the photos of all our great adventures in Door County out there, and in 2012 I managed to tone it down a bit and fit it all on one page (or maybe I was just too tired chasing after 2 mobile children to deal with taking pictures). But this year with Ann and Zack and Sarah traveling up from Florida, we definitely need a lot of space for all the photos. So much fun to see these kids and the way that cousins can connect despite distance and age. And so great to all be together for TT's birthday!
Thanks for coming to visit us. I started this blog to follow my quest to become a Single Mother by Choice. When Sam was born this became the place to share our story and contemplate our unusual family as it evolves and grows... and with the arrival of Eva we became a family of three. Stay tuned for stories of growth and change, as well as frustration and exhaustion, compassion and love, joy and delight.

Simply Impossible
It's simply impossible to describe how much fun we had with TT and Ann and "the cousins" last weekend (and I'm too exhausted to try). In our four days together we hiked Brady's Bluff, rode carnival rides and threw darts and "fished" and ate cheese curds at Catfish Days, heated up at a Loggers game, cooled down at the beach, made and decorated and ate a birthday cake for TT's special day, and managed to find time for playing in the pool, harvesting the garden, battling with water pistols and soaping up the slip n' slide. And Grandma babysat while the two mommies ran in the Catfish Days 5K/10K. I'm still not sure how we did so much. It was a perfect weekend, and I present a few photos with a link to many more.
