Thanks for coming to visit us. I started this blog to follow my quest to become a Single Mother by Choice. When Sam was born this became the place to share our story and contemplate our unusual family as it evolves and grows... and with the arrival of Eva we became a family of three. Stay tuned for stories of growth and change, as well as frustration and exhaustion, compassion and love, joy and delight.

Wildlife Weekend with Uncle Ron
Pelicans close enough to touch. Eagles circling just to show off to us. A great blue heron standing guard over mating blue winged teals. A young deer eating clover in a field. Steaks on the grill. The Bulls and The Celtics. The Red Wings in OT. Fat Squirrel and Spotted Cow in frosted glasses. Peekaboo. Blueberries. A purple plastic vacuum cleaner and a scary yellow dumptruck. Eating kale at Sullivan's. Running and laughing and chasing and tickling and imitating. Sam trying to put on his own socks just like Uncle Ron does. All three of us were sad when our time together came to an end.
Uncle Ron took a lot of beautiful wildlife photos, but for photos of the two boys, one with white hair and one with blueberry stains behind his fingernails, click on this link.
