“Mommy, this rock is very super perfect.” He held up a large sparkling piece of the red granite that is Wisconsin’s state rock. We were walking the beach together (as we did several times a day) looking for pieces of sea glass and skipping stones and tiny clams still stuck together.
We spent much of the week going on beach adventures… playing follow-the-leader into and out of the surf, collecting rocks to share with TT, telling seagull stories, investigating dead fish, chasing butterflies, building (and destroying) sand castles, and covering our bodies with water and sand. It is, apparently, not possible to have too much time on the beach when you’re three.

Those pictures are gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous. My favorite is the one of him chasing the seagulls. My kids love chasing the seagulls when we go up to Lake Superior. :)Looks like you had a wonderful time.
These photos are wonderful--what a great vacation! I love the pic of the three of you sitting on the beach--it really is worth 1000 words!
