It's been almost two years since we wound our way out to the Yaeger Valley for a night on the pizza farm, and when Lucy's little sister Bea had her 2-year birthday celebration there last Thursday, we finally made the effort. And it was worth it. Despite Eva being at that difficult age where she's in to everything yet doesn't quite recognize danger (or follow directions completely), our family had a fabulous evening on the farm. Perfect sunny weather, yummy wood fired pizza, delicious home brew, pigs in the pasture, llamas and sheep and cows on the hills, old friends, and lots of play-equipment (including an old hammock) all made Eva's maiden voyage to the pizza farm perfect. (Well perfect except for the surprise electric fence around the chickens out behind the compost toilets.) So glad that so many friends (old and new) turned out to celebrate a special 2-year-old solstice baby. And Sammy was thrilled to be able to run and run and run with his old pal Lucy. Thanks for including us, Beatrice!

Oh, how I love that it is called "the pizza farm"! It sounds like a fun time was had by all...and I hope the electric fence didn't "get" anyone!
